MONTAÑISMO EN PERU, CORDILLERA BLANCA
Sin duda alguna el montañismo en la cordillera en los andes peruanos, después de los Himalaya, es la más alta de la planeta. El Huascarán con 6768 msnm. Está ubicado en la cordillera blanca, la montaña tropical más elevada del mundo, junto a decenas de nevados más de 5000 metros de altitud. El montañismo muchas veces se entiende como el deporte practicado en la alta montaña, es decir, el montañismo de altura. Así, quien asciende a las montañas se le llama montañista o montañero.

 

El montañismo en esta zona, es un deporte que puede ser practicado por los más expertos profesionales montañistas, quienes podrán escoger rutas de ascenso de dificultad extrema, y también es practicado por deportistas menos expertos por las rutas clásicas de fácil ascenso y conquistar la cumbre de hermosos picos. Y se clasifican de la siguiente manera.
