El nevado Huascaran es la montaña tropical más alta del mundo aparte de los Himalaya y por lo mismo es la más conocida en el Perú. Se ubica en el parque nacional Huascaran. Desde la cumbre se puede apreciar casi toda la cordillera blanca y ofrece muchas rutas de ascenso por variados terrenos de roca, nieve y hielo, por lo tanto recomendamos tener en cuenta mucha experiencia y técnica en escalada, como también una buena aclimatación.
